TikTok creator Laila, who posts under the handle @ulovelailahakim, says she found a woman barely responsive on a sidewalk after a night out. According to Laila’s account, the woman’s Friends had left her there and taken her phone. The video had received 1.3 million views and 852 comments at the time of writing.
Laila said the woman appeared unconscious when she approached. She checked for a pulse and described it as difficult to feel. Concerned by the woman’s condition and the friends’ departure, Laila called an ambulance.
Laila said the initial response was to suggest putting the woman in a cab and sending her home. She argued that the woman was too unwell to travel that way and that she did not know the woman’s name or address. According to Laila, responders later recognized the seriousness of the situation and took the woman to hospital, but she said she had to plead for help.
In the video, Laila criticized the woman’s friends and said the incident had reinforced her distrust of people she described as “party friends”—people whose connection is largely limited to going out together. Commenters also questioned the reported ambulance response, while some shared accounts of helping strangers in medical emergencies.
The Daily Dot said it could not independently verify Laila’s claims, which were based on her personal account in the video.
