The Nintendo Switch 2: The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition remains difficult to find on Nov. 4, with several major retailers showing no online stock. Amazon is releasing small batches intermittently, while Target and Best Buy have announced in-store availability for Nov. 5. Target also plans an online restock on Nov. 6.
Nintendo’s store currently lists the console as out of stock and offers a wishlist option. Walmart is also sold out online, and GameStop is not taking online orders, according to the available stock update. Best Buy’s online inventory is listed as sold out, though select stores are expected to have walk-in stock during midnight openings on Nov. 5.
Demand is building ahead of the Nov. 5 arrival of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Nintendo Switch 2. The special-edition console launched on Oct. 29 and costs $520, but does not include the game.
The bundle includes a black-and-gold Switch 2, themed Joy-Con 2 controllers and a matching dock with a gold Triforce emblem. The system supports TV, tabletop and handheld play.
Shoppers can improve their chances by signing in to retailer accounts and saving payment and delivery details in advance. The stock update also advises checking that an item is sold and shipped by the retailer, rather than a third-party seller. For Best Buy’s online queue, refreshing the page may send shoppers to the back of the line.
The update suggests that retailers may have more units during Black Friday and Cyber Monday week, but describes those potential restocks as difficult to secure. It recommends treating them as a backup rather than relying on them.
