DoorDash is expanding its holiday offerings with Christmas tree delivery, retail discounts, catering for groups and a service that lets customers return eligible purchases without packaging them for shipping.
From Nov. 15 to Dec. 7, customers can order real or artificial trees through the app from retailers including The Home Depot, Lowe’s, Ace Hardware, Michaels and Kohl’s. Promo code LITMAS takes 20% off an order of at least $60 that includes a tree, up to $20 in savings. The offer applies to merchandise only and is limited to one delivery order per customer; pickup orders and carts containing alcohol are excluded.
DoorDash’s Dasher Returns service allows customers to schedule a courier to collect eligible retail purchases made through supported stores on the app. Items are handed over without a box, tape or shipping label, and the return is processed at the store. Each scheduled pickup costs $7.99, with arrival possible in as little as 30 minutes. The service is available in select cities and is being rolled out nationwide through November 2026.
The app’s Holiday Hub will feature Black Friday discounts from Nov. 23 to Nov. 30, with savings of up to 50% on selected products from retailers such as Ulta Beauty, Lowe’s, Best Buy and Macy’s. DoorDash is also offering discounts on its digital gift cards on Nov. 27: the promotion is limited to one redemption per customer and caps the discount at $25. Same-day delivery estimates can vary during busy periods.
Active DashPass members will have access to a separate promotion from Dec. 1 to Dec. 6. A new digital gift box with a members-only perk or promo code will appear each day, but offers expire after 24 hours and cannot be claimed later.
For larger gatherings, DoorDash says customers can order catering for groups of 10 to more than 150 people. The service includes no delivery fees, an on-time guarantee and help setting up the food. Its in-app “Ask DoorDash” tool can suggest portions and build a menu based on group size and dietary requirements. First-time catering customers can use code TRYDDCATER50 through Nov. 30 for 50% off an order with a minimum subtotal of $200, up to $150 in savings. Catering is available in select markets.
The company is also offering $12 Meal Boxes, including options such as pasta, tacos and grain bowls, with no delivery fee and reduced fees in more than 20 cities. DoorDash says the boxes are intended as a quick meal option while customers are out running errands.
