TikTok creator and babysitter Kiersten Conroy, who posts as @kiersten_conroy, has shared a video describing what she calls the worst family she worked for as a nanny. She said the incidents were only some of the uncomfortable experiences she had and that she could “honestly go on forever.” The video had received close to 292,000 views and 465 comments, according to The Daily Dot.
Conroy said the household employed several nannies, including daytime and overnight carers, and that another babysitter could be present during her shifts. She also described the family as frequently changing nannies.
One morning, she said, she arrived at 8:01 a.m. for an 8 a.m. shift. Before she had put her bag down, the mother asked why she was late. On another day, Conroy arrived five minutes early after waiting in her car and said the parents told her she could come inside if she got there ahead of time.
Conroy also recalled being given household chores, including laundry and dishes. She said the mother redirected her from laundry to washing dishes, then corrected how she placed them on the drying rack. She also said she was reprimanded for leaving the toilet lid up and the bathroom door open. On one occasion, while Conroy was brushing the family’s son’s teeth, the father questioned whether she knew how to do it.
Conroy described a further incident involving the family’s overnight nanny, an older woman she characterized as affectionate and caring. She said the mother sometimes gossiped about the woman with her. After the nanny kissed the baby on the cheek, the mother texted Conroy to ask her to wipe the baby’s face.
Some commenters who identified themselves as nannies questioned the household expectations, with several saying chores such as laundry and dishes were not part of babysitting. Conroy said she eventually quit. The Daily Dot noted it could not independently verify her account, which was based on her TikTok video.
