A TikTok creator says she lost her job at a hair salon after asking a customer to stop making politically charged and offensive comments directed at a co-worker. Dominique, known online as @_dominiquesymone, shared her account in a video that received 2.9 million views and 7,931 comments, according to the report.

Dominique said the customer’s comments began after the first client arrived that day. She asked the woman to stop discussing politics, but the customer replied that she could say what she wanted. Dominique said she stood up for her colleague, and the customer then confronted the salon’s owners.

According to Dominique, the owners fired her for causing problems with a customer. She said she had never been dismissed from a job before and was frustrated because she had been trying to support her co-worker.

Many commenters expressed support and suggested she consult an employment lawyer or look into whether she had grounds for legal action. Others encouraged her to consider opening her own salon. The Daily Dot said it could not independently verify Dominique’s account of the incident.
