TikTok creator @agrittygirl said a former partner once sent 60 roses to her workplace, prompting a series of uncomfortable interactions with co-workers. Her video, posted Aug. 6, had received 584,700 views at the time of publication, according to The Daily Dot.
In the video, she recalled being in a meeting when a colleague came to tell her a delivery had arrived. She asked the colleague to have someone else sign for it, but said the woman insisted she do it herself. The creator left the meeting and found the flowers already on her desk in the office’s open-plan area.
She said the roses came with a note reading “princess.” At the time, she was dating two men and assumed one of them had sent the flowers. She returned to her meeting, but later said another colleague entered the boardroom to tell her that her manager wanted the flowers removed from her desk. When she asked whether her manager knew she was in a meeting, the colleague reportedly replied that this was why he had been sent.
The creator said she left the meeting again and found the roses had been moved beneath her desk. There was another note with them: “Don’t worry, princess, we moved it for you.”
Some commenters responded to the story by describing it as workplace jealousy, while another referenced the creator’s experience as a Black woman in a corporate environment. The Daily Dot said it could not independently verify the events and that the account reflects what @agrittygirl shared on TikTok.
