TikTok creator @thestorytella_ shared a story about a friend’s unusual Bumble date, which began with an unexpected outfit and included a trip to the Bronx Zoo. The creator said he posted the account as a warning to other men about behavior they might encounter while dating. At the time the Daily Dot article was published, the video had 459,800 views and 244 comments.

According to the creator, his friend arrived to pick up his date and found her wearing Elmo pajamas and fuzzy blue slippers. When he asked if that was what she planned to wear, she went back inside and returned 10 to 15 minutes later in a one-piece swimsuit. It was early spring, with the temperature around 55 degrees. She reportedly said she had shorts in her car.

The woman then suggested getting finger foods, such as quesadillas or chicken fingers, and proposed a restaurant in the Bronx. The creator said the trip took about an hour and 20 minutes. When they arrived, his friend realized the destination was the Bronx Zoo. She reportedly told him she liked the food there more than the animals; they went in, ate, and looked at some of the animals.

After leaving at around 4 p.m., the pair considered going to a bar. The woman reportedly would not order a drink unless a female bartender served it. They left one bar when they saw a male bartender, then she invited him back to her place for drinks. The creator said his friend went, despite the unusual turns in the date.

The story ended with a twist: @thestorytella_ said the two are still together two years later. The Daily Dot said it could not independently verify the claims, which were based on the TikTok creator’s account.
