Celebrity Halloween once again turned costume reveals into a major pop culture event, with elaborate transformations, visual references and recreations designed to be recognized before their captions were even read. The most memorable looks of 2026 drew on music videos, cartoons, anime, film and viral moments.
Heidi Klum delivered one of the night’s most unsettling costumes by appearing as an enormous, bloody version of her own left hand. The costume included red nails and rings, and reportedly took five to six hours to put on.
Lily Allen opted for a different kind of horror, dressing as a Ticketmaster seating chart. The idea was especially pointed for anyone familiar with the frustrations of trying to buy concert tickets.
Zendaya recreated Halle Berry’s look from the 2000 premiere of X-Men, with styling by Law Roach. Alex Consani also revisited a recognizable piece of pop culture, transforming into a Thumb-Thumb from Spy Kids.
Mary Beth Barone and Benito Skinner turned an awkward television moment into a two-person costume. Barone dressed as Dakota Johnson and Skinner as Ellen DeGeneres, recreating Johnson’s widely remembered 2019 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, including the exchange over Johnson’s birthday party invitation.
Lisa Rinna paid tribute to Kylie Jenner by recreating Jenner’s orange Chrome Hearts look from the Marty Supreme premiere. Rinna added a long dark wig and a chunky silver cross necklace, and Jenner commented on the Instagram post that she initially thought the image was of herself.
Keke Palmer and her son, Leodis, channeled Janet and Michael Jackson from the 1995 “Scream” music video. The pair wore matching hairstyles and appeared in a black-and-white shoot, while Palmer also recreated the choreography in a video. Leodis watched nearby with his iPad.
Lizzo chose Seiko Ayase, the grandmother from the anime and manga series Dan Da Dan. Paris Hilton, meanwhile, revisited Britney Spears’s look from her 2001 MTV Video Music Awards performance of “I’m a Slave 4 U.”
Kim Kardashian dressed as her daughter North West, copying North’s blue hair, faux facial piercings, black grill and long pointed nails. The resemblance prompted one commenter to say they initially thought the image showed North herself.
Alix Earle adopted a futuristic look inspired by a Sorayama sculpture. Her metallic costume took about an hour and a half to put on, a process she documented on TikTok.
