The New York Times’ Connections puzzle for November 4 asks players to sort 16 words into four groups of four based on a shared connection. Players can make up to four mistakes before the game ends, and correctly solved groups are removed from the board.

Today’s category clues are “Same shape,” “Clothing instructions,” “Just hanging around” and “Explosive.” The full categories are triangular prisms with a sharp edge; words after “Do Not” on a care label; ways to move idly, followed by “around”; and words that complete “Fire___.”

The answers are DOORSTOP, FLATIRON BUILDING, PIE SLICE and WEDGE for triangular prisms with a sharp edge. The care-label group is BLEACH, IRON, TUMBLE DRY and WRING. LOLL, POKE, PUTTER and SHUFFLE fit “Move Idly, with ‘Around’,” while CRACKER, FLY, WOOD and WORKS complete the “Fire___” category.

Connections is available on web browsers and mobile devices. Its four groups are color-coded by difficulty, from yellow as the easiest to purple as the hardest, and players can shuffle or rearrange the board to help spot connections.
