Amazon is selling the Hisense 100-inch U8 Mini-LED 4K Google TV for $2,799.99 as of Nov. 2, compared with its $3,999.99 list price. The 30% reduction represents a saving of $1,200 ahead of Black Friday.
The deal arrives during football season, when a larger screen can make games more immersive. However, the television’s size means shoppers should measure their available space before purchasing and arrange for help moving it into the home.
The U8 features an anti-reflection screen treatment intended to reduce glare during afternoon games. Its Mini-LED backlight includes local dimming to improve contrast, while Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ support are available for compatible movie and television content.
For streaming, the set runs Google TV. Its built-in audio system includes a subwoofer, up-firing speakers and Dolby Atmos support, providing additional sound features without requiring a separate setup.
