The trailer for The Liberation introduces Rita, played by Carrie Coon, a Holocaust survivor who leaves her husband and two daughters to join an all-female commune led by an enigmatic spiritual leader, played by Lily James. The thriller is directed by Guy Nattiv and set in the 1980s.
Rita’s husband is played by Tracy Letts, while Odessa Young and Bella Ramsey portray her daughters. When the daughters arrive searching for their mother, Rita must decide what to do.
The Liberation is scheduled to reach cinemas this winter.
